Perspiration is a natural and essential process which regulates the body’s temperature and eliminates waste products. However, for a surprising number of men and women, perspiration can become an embarrassing problem, especially during moments of stress or in hot weather!
Why does perspiration smell?
Perspiration as such does not smell regardless of which type of sweat gland it comes from. However, when the perspiration begins to decompose, which happens quite quickly, it begins to smell unpleasant and causes what we call 'body odour'.
